FAMILY PLAY TRADITIONS
Explore your own play expertise and learn how it can lead to important family play traditions. Create a play plan to make daily life a little more fun.
EXPERIENCE, CREATE, LEAD UNCONFERENCE
Experiment with inter-generational learning at this Design Thinking Unconference. This participant driven event will give you the opportunity to spend the day with your family exploring Design Thinking and Play.
Appropriate for families with children ages 6 and above. This is an active day of playing and learning.
MAKE A MESS
Learn how kids can foster creativity and innovation when parents step back and offer space for mistakes and the occasional mess. Explore how you can encourage this kind of exploration without ruining your house!
Will you take the challenge? Plan and execute a city-wide Festival of Play in just three days. This is a unique leadership skill building camp for high school youth. Participants will use a Design Thinking approach to learn how to facilitate a large scale event.
After just two days of training youth will lead play for thousands of families in a citywide festival. They will leave this intensive and engaging experience with new skills, new friends and confidence in their capabilities.
BEST BABYSITTER ON THE BLOCK
Ever feel like the hours you spend babysitting drag on and on? Then this workshop is for you. You'll learn new games to use babysitting neighborhood children. You'll leave this workshop with new ideas and a toolkit to take home.
LEAD IT: COUNSELOR IN TRAINING CAMP
Attention Middle Schoolers! Do you love camp but secretly want to be in charge? Learn what it takes to be a counselor in this one-of-a-kind week long adventure where you’ll use your own experiences as a camper to teach other kids.
Come develop leadership skills while helping younger kids learn through play. We’ll lead sack races, water relays, cardboard builds and craft activities - and you’ll learn the skills needed to facilitate all of it. And at the end of the week,YOU will lead a huge activity for the entire camp. (Think building a giant Cardboard Minecraft City or Carnival.)
